Every year Nike helps celebrate one of the biggest American football events: the College Football Playoffs.
The complex bracket system along with making sure that Nike teams are in the running spots make for a complex matrix of assets to be made in order to be reactive to key moments. For this we created a modular language inspired by old sport posters representing each team at each phase.
Matchups between teams were made for every possible permutations and possibilities that involved Nike and Jordan teams facing off.
In addition, every content piece included motion components featuring school highlights and branding.
The deliverable style guide enabled regions and local offices to implement creative on the fly.
As with every project, a heavy dose of experimentation in visual styles is explored to land a solution.
