defining the language of the 2016 chicago marathon, we used the city's grid and neihborhood as our grid. it enabled us to create a stacking system that was both modular but also deeply rooted in the event and the city's DNA.
in addition to the graphic package we had the opportunity to art direct the photoshoot. in an effort to stay as relevant and true to the city, we casted local runners that were training to run the marathon. their city, their journey.
